The Challenge: Translating Automotive Excitement into an Interactive Musical Experience

At the International Motor Show Germany (IAA), Hyundai sought to captivate attendees by merging the dynamic essence of their N-Line cars with an interactive musical platform. The objective was to design a user-friendly interface for a touchscreen drum machine that allowed users to create personalized drum beats using sounds derived from Hyundai’s high-performance vehicles.


The Solution: A Neomorphic Interface Combining Simplicity and Engagement

To achieve this, we developed an intuitive user interface inspired by neomorphism, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and ease of use:

  • Interactive Drum Machine: Users could craft unique drum patterns by integrating authentic sounds from Hyundai’s N-Line cars, providing a novel fusion of automotive and musical elements.
  • Seamless Beat Recording and Sharing: The interface enabled users to record their custom beats and conveniently download them via a QR code, enhancing user engagement and shareability.
  • Neomorphic Design Elements: The application of neomorphic design principles resulted in a modern, tactile interface that was both visually appealing and functionally intuitive, encouraging exploration and creativity.
